I absolutely loved the line — “There will always be the axle-stall-stalefish-front-wheel-grab I invented at nine years old to hold close to my heart.” —- that was so funny and relatable.
I really can’t express how much I enjoyed this piece. Bravo sir.
Reminds me of my hometown skatepark in Midland, Ontario. Opened around the same time. Big nostalgia trigger, which in any form can make one’s eyes well.
I concussed myself on my first drop in attempt on a 5 ft prefab mini in Daly City in 7th grade...that whole park was actually pretty good considering prefab standards... this was such a nice read and DAMN that’s a nice make so glad you got it before the park disappears.
Nollie flip blunt to fakie? My god.
🙏🙏🙏
Cole, this was fantastic!
You certainly have a way with words.
